You may be approaching a significant career step. A first board appointment, C-suite role or other substantial increase in responsibility requires a more deliberate account of your leadership, judgement, governance exposure, influence and readiness.
You may be facing redundancy or have recently left a long-term employer. After many years with one organisation, your CV and wider career strategy may be stale, incomplete or too closely tied to the language and priorities of that employer. The Master CV helps recover the broader value of your experience and prepares you to compete in an external market that may assess it differently.
Your current CV may omit valuable evidence. Senior candidates often retain only the most recent version of their story, while earlier achievements, figures, projects, responsibilities and specialist strengths disappear over time.

What is an Executive Master CV?
A comprehensive career and strategy document that preserves evidence and provides the foundation for future applications. More...The purpose of a Master CV is to retain the strongest material from across your career so that future applications can be selective without becoming incomplete.It records more than career chronology. It may include responsibilities, achievements, commercial results, governance experience, leadership evidence, projects, specialist knowledge, stakeholder exposure and other material that could become relevant later.
It preserves supporting detail. Figures, context, scale, outcomes and examples are retained even when they would be too extensive for a normal CV.
It identifies possible propositions. The document helps reveal the different ways in which your experience could be positioned for future roles, sectors or appointment types.
It supports career strategy. By examining the evidence as a whole, we can identify the appointments your experience already supports, where your position may be stronger than you realise and what further exposure may be needed for a first board, C-suite or other senior appointment.
It is not intended for direct submission. Employers do not need your complete career archive. They need a shorter CV that selects and interprets the most relevant evidence for a particular appointment.
How is this different from the Senior Executive CV service?
The Master CV service builds the evidence and method behind future applications, rather than producing one market-facing CV. More...A submission CV presents the evidence selected for one purpose. How do you recover and develop the evidence?
Document review, structured questioning and careful testing reveal evidence that may have been compressed, forgotten or taken for granted. More...Senior executives are rarely short of experience. The difficulty is recovering the right detail, establishing its significance and recording it before it is lost.I examine your existing material. This may include current and earlier CVs, LinkedIn, biographies, job descriptions, performance information, project documents and previous applications.
I question you closely. We recover achievements, decisions, responsibilities, challenges and outcomes that have become compressed, forgotten or taken for granted.
We establish scale and effect. Where possible, we identify financial results, percentages, budgets, team sizes, delivery times, service improvements, risk reductions or other meaningful measures.
We distinguish evidence from assertion. Statements are tested for context, credibility and relevance. Unsupported claims are refined, qualified or removed.
We retain useful complexity. The Master CV may contain more detail than a submission document because its purpose is to preserve options rather than make one immediate argument.
What is included in this service?

I examine your progression, responsibilities, achievements, transitions, specialist knowledge and the context in which your experience was gained.
The evidence audit. We identify the strongest examples from across your career, recover missing detail and quantify scale or effect where possible.
The proposition and career strategy analysis. I identify the leadership themes, transferable strengths, specialist value and possible future directions supported by your evidence. For high-flyers approaching a first board appointment, C-suite role or another significant career step, this also helps establish how their rapid progression should be interpreted and what evidence will give decision-makers confidence in their readiness.
The Master CV. I develop a comprehensive, structured document that records your career evidence in a form that can be searched, reviewed and adapted later.
Two bespoke applications. I develop two applications from the Master CV, each aligned to a defined vacancy, employer and set of appointment requirements. These serve as worked examples of how to interrogate the foundation document, select the strongest evidence, change the emphasis and build a different case for candidacy around each opportunity. Each application would normally include a bespoke CV and cover letter.
The revisions. We correct factual details, recover missing context and refine the Master CV and included applications until they are accurate, coherent and ready for use.
Direct personal service. I undertake the questioning, analysis, writing and revisions myself. The work is not passed to a junior writer, contractor or automated production process.
What I will need. I will usually require your existing CVs, LinkedIn profile, relevant career documents, the complete material for the two selected opportunities and sufficient access to you to investigate responsibilities, achievements and results.
What falls outside the two included applications?
Each included application would normally comprise a bespoke CV and cover letter for an agreed vacancy. More...The two applications demonstrate how the Master CV can be used for real opportunities, while keeping the included work within a practical scope.The Master CV is not a submission CV. It will always be too detailed and too broad to send directly to an employer.
The two opportunities are agreed during the service. Each application is developed against a specific vacancy, employer and set of requirements.
More extensive requirements may need separate agreement. Applications involving substantial selection criteria responses, several additional documents, presentations or similarly detailed work may require an additional quotation.
Further applications are separate. Once the two included applications have been completed, additional vacancy-specific work is charged separately.
The Master CV remains a long-term foundation. Future appointments may still require updated evidence, fresh research and a revised case for candidacy.
The two included applications would normally comprise a bespoke CV and cover letter for each agreed opportunity. Where an application also requires extensive selection criteria, multiple additional documents or other unusually detailed work, any additional scope will be agreed before proceeding.
